New Years Resolutions 2014

Every year I make resolutions and in all honestly I rarely stick to them but it wouldn't be New Years Eve without making some now would it? That bring me on to my first New Years resolution which has to be to stick to all the resolutions I make and not to give up after a few days, weeks and months.

My 2014 New Years Resolutions:

- to blog at least twice a week.
- to purchase as many beauty products of my 2014 wish list as I can! (This is for sure my favourite resolution)
- to do all my uni reading and works straight away when I get it, to avoid those stressful last minute rushes.
- to lose weight and become more healthy (it wouldn't be a list of resolutions without this on it)
- and finally to go to my first ever music festival. This is something that I have always wanted to do and this summer I am finally going to do it.

So hopefully in 365 days time I will be able to look back and be able to say that I did every single one of these things. I hope you all have a fantastic night whatever you are doing and I shall speak to you in 2014! Arghh scary how fast time goes!

At the start of 2013 I wasn't sure whether it was going to be a year that I would enjoy. 2013 meant some pretty big changes for me and it also meant a lot of growing up would happen in a short amount of time. 2013 brought about lots of 'firsts' which was pretty daunting and scary. However it has turned out to be the best year ever. Every month brought about something exciting and I have gained some pretty amazing memories. I really enjoy reading posts about what exciting things people have to up to during the year and I also find its lovely when bloggers share some of their favourite memories from the year. So grab a cuppa and sit back and hopefully enjoy my 2013.

... was a month full of anxious moments as I waited to hear back from the university's I had applied to. Thankfully not long into the month I received offers from all of the university's I had applied to and I was able to firm my favourite. This meant I could apply for my accommodation and the thought of me going to uni become a little bit more real.

... was the month I saw Rita Ora with my best friend!! It was such a great night and she was fantastic to see live. I had always loved her but wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was considering the tickets were only £17.50! Definitely see her if you get the chance!

... was the first of the big changes. It was the month I turned 18. I was finally an adult. I had such a lovely birthday and was spoilt rotten by all my family and friends.

... was a pretty boring month. As my final Alevel exams got closer, most of my time and effort went into revision and past papers. It was one of the most stressful months but it was all worth it on results day. If you are reading this now and you're in the same position I was then, my advice to you is to just work as hard as you can and do as much a you can because all the days in revising instead of being out with your friends and spending your money on highlighters and coloured paper instead of makeup is all worth it in the end!

... was a month of mixed emotions. It was the month, that after spending 5 days of the week for the past 7 years, I left my school for good. It was a sad day and tears were shed. It was hard to believe that after growing up with a group of people for 7 years, we were now all going our separate ways. May also saw me take my final exams. It was a month crammed with exam after exam, the stress of revision and having to sit in freezing cold exam halls for hours at end. Finally 10 exams later I was free and my summer could finally begin.

... was an important month as it was the month that I created Skinny Jeans. Although I was having an amazing time with my friends, I wanted to have something to do over the summer and from that my little blog was started. Although I have neglected it lately ( which makes me so sad) it was one of the best decisions I made this year. I love having my own little corner of the Internet. As well as doing huge amount of shopping for products to review, my bank balance suffered hugely, June was the month that I spent as much time possible with some of my favourite people!

June also meant it was time for my year 13 leavers ball. I loved getting all dressed up and it even gave me a chance to attempt to a FOTD and OOTD on my blog. I had such an amazing night and my date did not dissapoint in his suit!

... July was a month of panic as results day got closer, I was starting to worry more and more about whether I had done enough to get into uni. July also saw my venture on more nights out, a plus to that whole 18 age label and I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed them. I was sure they wouldn't be my sort of thing as I seem to like my sleep a bit too much so I never thought I would be able to last until the early hours.

...meant the dreaded Alevel results day came. Thankfully I didn't need to be worried as I came out with the grades I wanted/needed and my place at my first choice uni was confirmed. Now that was all over it was time for a holiday and I jetted off to Spain with my family for 2 weeks.

September and October.....
...were the months where I moved 3 hours away to uni, settled in and met some of the greatest people ever. Not only did I end up with the greates flatmates ever but also ones who could put up with my excessive clothes and makeup buying. I had the best 2 weeks of freshers and I loved starting my course and getting to know people on it.

... was my first month of placement and I loved it. However it did mean that my blogging slipped and I didn't mange to get it back. I really missed doing it and I regret that I haven't made time for it recently but that will all change in the new year!! November also saw another 'first' in that I put my first deposit down on a house for next year with 3 of my fav girls! I can't wait to live with these girlies next year.

... meant I could come home and spend some time with my family and enjoy christmas! I had such a lovely Christmas Day both at uni with my friends and also  at home with my family.

Wow this has turned into a super long post! If you have managed to get all the way down here then I hope you enjoyed it. I promise that next year I shall return to blogging and I'm looking forward to getting back into it. I hope you all have a wonderful new year and thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

Happy New Year Everyone!!  Xx

Beauty Blogger Series - Mascara/MissBeautyObsession

So it's the second post in the beauty blogger series and this week the chosen topic was a choice between Mascara and Foundation. I have chosen to talk about my current favourite Mascara. I talked about this product in my October favourites  which you can read here.

The Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara is a fantastic mascara for those of you who are looking for something that curls your lashes, on a budget. It keeps my lashes curled for about 8-9 hours. It doesn't look clumpy and the wand makes applying the Mascara super easy. I would fully recommend this product and I will be repurchasing over and over again.

Have you tried this product? What did you think?
What Mascaras are you loving at the moment?

Don't forget you can follow on bloglovin, i'm really hoping to get to my goal of 100 followers by the end of the month :)

Hello! I can't believe it is November, which more importantly means its nearly Christmas. I have missed writing more personal posts on my blog, so I have decided to share with you some of the things that I hope to achieve this month....

My Blog

This month I am hoping to hit 100 followers on either Bloglovin or Google Friend Connect. I would love to put together a giveaway for December but I want to reach my goal first. So this month I have put together a plan of all the posts I will write and my goal is to stick exactly to it. If you are reading my blog for the first time and like what you read then I would love it if you would give me a follow, if you are all ready following, I would love it if you would share my blog around. I love writing my blog so much and would love to see it grow and get better over the next few months.

I have loved my time so far at uni and this month I get the opportunity to go out on my first placement for 3 weeks and I can't wait. So this month I want to have a successful placement and learn lots. The placements that I go on are really important to my course and to have a really enjoyable one for the first time would be amazing.

Get my amazing Christmas body!

This month I am going to make more of an effort to eat better and do more exercise. I would love to lose a few pounds before Christmas and by getting fitter and being more healthy it is a safe and sensible way to do it. I don't believe in diets as I don't think that they are the best way to go about losing weight but I do want a more healthy lifestyle and any weight I lose will be a bonus!

Start Christmas shopping

This is a bit of a silly thing to want to achieve but as much as I love shopping, I hate shopping for Christmas presents in December. The shops get way to crowded and you can never find anything that you want. I have tried online shopping for Christmas presents in the past but it wasn't as exciting as going and picking the stuff out yourself. So this month I want to get organised and make a start on my Christmas shopping in the hope that I can avoid the last minute present buying in December.

I hope you enjoyed this more personal post. I know that a lot of people have been doing posts like this and if you have done one I would love to read it so leave me the link down below.

Beauty Blogger Series - Lipsticks/MissBeautyObsession

Hellooo! Recently Bethan from MissBeautyObsession got in touch with me about getting involved in her beauty blogger series. I was really excited to be asked as I have always wanted to be involved with one of these. On a Sunday Bethan will tweet what the topic will be for the week and then on the Wednesday I will do a post on my current favourite product regarding the topic that she had tweeted.

This week's topic was......

I am currently loving this No7 Lipstick in the shade Classic Rose. It is the most gorgeous berry/red colour, perfect for  autumn and winter. I love the formation of the No7 lipsticks and the packaging makes it look way more expensive then it's £9.50 price tag. This lipstick lasts for hours and is the perfect way to finish off any outfit, day or night.

What lipsticks are you currently loving?
Would you like to try this one?

Don't forget you can follow me on bloglovin or google friend connect. :) I would really like to reach my goal of 100 followers by the end of the month so I would really appreciate it if you would help me out :)

Don't forget to go and follow Bethan, which you can do here

October Favourites

Helloooo! I know I say this at the start of every monthly favourites post but I can't believe how fast this year is going. October has been another great month and I have now been at university for more then a month. I am still loving it but unfortunately the amount of lectures and work I have been doing has meant that I have once again neglected my blog!

I don't have many favourites this month, just because my makeup routine has been pretty boring due to the fact I literally throw stuff on my face and run out of the door. However the products that I have been loving this month, I really have used on a daily basis.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick 107 : This is one of the best lipsticks I own by far. It is such a lovely deep burgundy colour lipstick. The pigmentation is great and it is super long lasting. I also love the matte finish of this lipstick. I find this is best worn on those days when I am wearing a small amount of eye makeup and a 'boring' outfit as it makes it look so much more interesting. For under £6 this is such a bargain and I will be repurchasing it over and over again.

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara : This month I have been rocking the just mascara look on my eyes and this mascara is sooooo good!!!! I had read reviews on it but I never thought I would actually fall in love with it. It says that is gives 24 hour curls and although I doubt that it ever would do that, it certainly keeps my lashes curled for the 8/9 hours I wear it a day. It doesn't look clumpy at all and a few swipes of it across my lashes goes a long way. A definite must for anyone's everyday makeup routine.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me : If you have read my blog before then you will know how much I love the baby lips. I think they leave your lips feeling super soft and they all smell amazing. This month I have kept Cherry Me in my bag at all times. It gives my lips the moisturizing they need, especially with the cold weather that has come, whilst also giving my lips a really pretty red tint.

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Damson Dream : I believe this is one of the new No7 nail colour shades and it is a gorgeous deep burgundy colour. I have always really liked the finish that the No7 nail colours give and this is just the perfect autumn shade. I have had this on my nails for most of October and I plan on wearing it for the whole of the autumn/winter season.

So those are the products I have been loving the past month. I also have a couple random favourites that I have been loving. I have recently signed up to Netflix and watched 5 seasons of Gossip Girl. I loved it so much and will defiently be watching the 6th season when I can get a hold of it. I have also been loving Hot Chocolates. There is nothing better then having a Hot Chocolate to warm you up!!

What have you been loving this month?
Do any of these products stand out for you?

Don't forget you can follow me on bloglovin or google friend connect.

September Favourites

Hellooo, so it has been about a month since I have posted! I feel like such a bad blogger but if you follow me on Twitter then you probably would of seen that I have moved to University!! So I have been at Uni for about a month now and it is so good! I am having such a great time however I have been super busy and unfortunately I wasn't able to blog. I am super sorry and I hope you all will be pleased to know that I am starting again and I have lots of posts coming your way over the next few weeks.

I know that we are nearly half way through October (how quick is this year going???!!) and so my September favourites are super late but I hope you all still enjoy seeing what I have been loving this month.

Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara : I have been loving this mascara the past month. It leaves your lashes looking really full without becoming clumpy. The wand isn't the greatest one I have ever used but the product itself is great. I really like the simple packaging. You can buy it here.

Kiko Nail Lacquer in 336 Electric Blue : I bought this nail varnish when I was on holiday and I love it. You only need one coat and it drys super fast! I have worn this pretty much the whole of September. I am really liking wearing a bold colour on my nails to liven up my darker outfit choices. You can by it here.

Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser: Every blogger out there raves about this and I can see why. It leaves your skin feeling super soft and it is super affordable. Using this 3 times a week has made a huge difference in the appearance of my skin. You can buy it here.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder in 51:  This is my favourite bronzing powder ever. Not only does it leave you looking really bronzed without making you look orange and un-natural but it also smells amazing! I have been using this all through September to make my small holiday tan appear to last longer. I have the lightest shade but you can get it in a slightly darker shade for those of you who aren't as pale as me. You can buy it here .

H+M Eau De Toilette Freesia and Lychee Perfume: Last but not least the scent that I have been loving in September is this perfume from h+m. I bought this when I was on holiday and fell in love with it. It's such a gorgeous summer scent and I am actually going to be so sad when I return to my winter scents. It was under £5 so was a complete bargain for something that easily is better then some of my more expensive perfumes.

So those are the things that I have been loving the past month. Sorry it is so late but I promise that I will be back to blogging way more often again.

Don't forget you can follow on bloglovin or google friend connect and all the links are down the side :)

So this is my second attempt at a FOTD. I got so many lovely comments about my last one, which was so lovely considering I was so scared to put it up. You can read that here. So this look is for when I was going to a bbq at my friends house.

Products used:
- Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 120
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
- MUA Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde
-  Rimmel Scandleyes Mascara in Black
- Natural Collection Blusher in Pink Cloud
- Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate

So this was a really natural summery look which was quick and easy to apply. This will be my final FOTD for the summer season and I am looking forward to creating some Autumn looks.

In order to keep up to date with all my posts you can follow me on bloglovin here. I would really love to reach 100 followers by the end of September and I would really appreciate it if you could help me reach my goal :)

OOTD and FOTD #1

So this is a big first for me. If you have been following my blog for a while then you may of noticed that I don't really include many photos of myself. This month I have set myself the goal of including more of myself on my blog, from more lifestyle posts to swatches of the products on my actual face. So I think the best way to get started would be to do my first OOTD and FOTD. If you follow me on twitter then you will probably of seen that I recently celebrated my boyfriends birthday and with that came the chance to dress up for a birthday meal with his family.

Playsuit- New Look- £16.99 and can be bought here
Necklace- Present from a friend in America
Shoes- Primark- £12

I also wanted to apologise for the red knees, never do your makeup whilst kneeling on the floor, haha.

Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me in shade 120
Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Blusher: Natural Collection in Pink Cloud
Bronzer: Maybelline Dream Terra Sun Bronzing Powder

A *Few* Weeks in My Shoes #4

Hello! It has been a few weeks since I have done one of these but I decided that I would wait and do a big one full of all the things that have happened in August. August has been a really great month for me and probably the best month of the year.

1- August meant that I was finally free from exams and school, which meant I was free to spend as much time with my friends as possible. We've had so much fun on nights out or just hanging out during the day. It makes me so sad to think we are all heading off in different directions in a few weeks.

2- This month also saw my amazing boyfriend turn 19 (arghhh soppy I know). He is so great and deserved to have an amazing birthday. He puts up with being dragged round shop after shop whilst I swatch product after product so it was nice to spend some money on him and have a nice night out with his friends.

3- If you follow me on Twitter then you might have seen that I received my A level results in August. I got an A, 2 B's and a C. I was so pleased with what I got and that also meant that I got into my 1st choice uni, so in two weeks I will be moving about 3 hours away from home.

4- After receiving my results and getting what I wanted , it meant that I was able to throw away all of my work from the past two years. It felt so good to get rid of it all. Although I have loved doing my A levels, it was one of the most stressful two years ever and I'm glad its over.

5- Wooooo holiday. I was lucky enough to fly over to Spain for a two week relaxing holiday. It was filled with swimming in our private pool and eating nice food. It gave me the chance to relax and catch up on my fashion magazines in the sun. I loved every minute of it and was so sad to come home. Bring on next year!

6- When I arrived back , it meant that I need a urgent catch-up with the girls to find out what I had missed. We had a super nice dinner with a few drinks and I got the chance to wear some of my holiday makeup purchases.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been up to in the last month. Although I didn't want August to end, I am excited to see what great things September will bring.

You can follow on Bloglovin, GFC or twitter and all of the links are down the side.

August Favourites

August has been my favourite month to date. So many great things have happened. My blog celebrated it's 3 month birthday and I also reached 50 followers. You can enter my 50 followers giveaway here. I also celebrated getting into my first choice uni after gaining the A level grades I needed. As well as relaxing in Spain for a two week holiday. When it comes to things I have been loving this month, there haven't been too many things. I have a few beauty items and a couple random items. I would love to know what you have been loving this month so if you blog and have done a post on your August favourites then leave me your links in the comments below.

Primark Tangle Teaser- £1.50 : I bought this whilst I was on holiday in Spain so it's something that I really have only been using for the last couple of weeks of August. My hair was getting so tangled from the chlorine in the pool and my hairbrush that I had taken with me wasn't really doing much to help. When we were shopping I happened to come across this tangle teaser in Primark and as it was only £1.50 I couldn't not get it. It's so good and leaves your hair feeling really soft and completely without any tangles. It also it a super cute heart shaped design.

Next statement necklace : I was bought this a couple years ago by a friend and I found it at the start of the month. I have been loving wearing this with a plain boyfriend style t-shirt. It makes outfits look so much more interesting and the cream style means it goes with almost everything.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss- £2.99 : I have been really enjoying all of the Baby Lips this past month but the one that I have been using the most is Peach Kiss. You can read a more detailed review and also a review of the others here

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Blueberry - £3.99 : This has been my perfect summer colour. I love the gelly nails paints, they are really long lasting and leave a really nice shine to your nails. They usually last on my nails for about 5-7 days.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Orange Punch - £7.99 : These are so amazing. They leave your lips feeling super soft as well as being really long lasting. There is only 4 shades to choose from at the minute but the 4 shades that they have are all so good. Orange punch is the most perfect summer orange shade.

What have you been loving the past month?
Do you have any of these products?

Autumn Style- 3 Ways to Style Skinny Jeans

Hello, I just wanted to start this post of by saying how is it September already? This year is going super fast and I can't believe that in about 2 weeks I will be heading off to start my first year at uni. So today I have created 3 different autumn looks which feature a pair of black skinny jeans in all of them. I have gone for a casual look, day look and night look. I hope you enjoy.

The Beauty Blogger Tag and 50 Followers Giveaway

Hello! I feel like I haven't blogged in ages but if you follow me on twitter then you might have seen that I have been away on holiday. I did schedule some posts whilst I was away but I wanted to have a little bit of a break. I arrived back this morning to find out that I had hit 50 followers on bloglovin. Arrgghhhhhhhhh! < That was pretty much my reaction! I can't believe that I have 50 followers and I am so grateful to every one of them. In order to celebrate I wanted to do the Beauty Blogger Tag and then a competition. I hope you enjoy it and once again a huge thank you, you have all made me so happy!

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?

I have been blogging for about 3 months now. I have been reading blogs and watching youtube videos now for about 2 years. When I finished my A Level exams at the start of the summer I was left with loads of time and Skinny Jeans was born from that.

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?

The first blog I ever read was Sprinkle of Glitter which is written by the lovely Louise. I had watched her youtube videos and noticed that she had a blog. I loved her blog so much and started to become a regular reader. Through Louise's blog I started to read Zoella's blog and through that it kind of expanded into me reading all the well known bloggers blogs. When I first started to blog and joined bloglovin, the first blogs I followed were What Molly Loves and littlepieceofbeauty. I still read their posts first before I read any others, their posts are so good and I always want to go out and buy whatever they review.

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?

I think it was the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Yes, Yes, Yes it is so worth the hype it gets because it is so bloody AMAZING!

What are you five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?

1. Other bloggers- Once I had got my blog up and running I joined twitter and through that I have met some lovely bloggers. The blogging community is so lovely and everyone is always giving each other advice on products or blogging in general.
2- Own personal space- I love having my blog to rant when a product hasn't done what it said it would do or to rave about a product that's amazing. Its my own personal space to write about what I want. It also gives my family and friends a break from listening to it, haha.
3- Reading about other products- blogging is a great place to read about new products or products that have been out there for a while but you just haven't seen. I trust the opinion of every blogger I read as they are all such a honest bunch.
4- Excuse to buy millions of beauty products- I have found that being a beauty blogger gives me the excuse of buying 50 lipsticks that are the exact shade from different brands just because I want to try it out and review and compare it. Although this isn't always great for my bank balance, it's amazing for my makeup collection.
5- My blog- I am so proud of my blog and I can't believe that I get any comments or have any followers. To think that I have been able to create something that I am proud of through blogging is the best feeling ever.

What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?

I have learnt that if you want to do something then just do it. Whether it's starting up your own blog or writing a post that you want to write then you should just jump in and do it. The beauty blogging community is so lovely and welcoming that if it is something that your sat at home wanting to do, then go ahead and get involved.

What advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?

Enjoy every minute of starting out your blog and even if you don't get the response you were hoping for straight away, stick at it and prepare to work hard.

What are your top 5 makeup brands?

1. MAC
2. Rimmel
3. Bourjois
4. Sleek
5. MUA for some real beauty bargains

Recommend your top 5 beauty products....

1. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
2. Any Soap and Glory skincare product
3. Revlon Lash Potion Mascara
4. MUA nail polish in Pistachio Ice Cream
5. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Competition Time (woooooooooo!!!)

I have been thinking for a while about what I wanted to do for my first big follower milestone. I had thought about doing a giveaway but I just didn't think it felt right to do one at the moment. So I am super sorry if you clicked on this hoping to win some makeup goodies. I will definitely be doing one of those types of giveaways in the future but for now I have something better (I hope!) to offer. For my 50 followers giveaway/ competition I am offering 4 of my followers the chance to have their blog button on my blog for a month after the closing date of the competition. I have wanted to have blog buttons on my blog and I would really like for them to be people who read and enjoy my blog. I think blog buttons look super cute down the side of a blog and I am always clicking on ones that really stand out to me. I am in know way trying to make my blog seem bigger then it actually is and I hope it doesn't come across that way. I would just really love to add something to my blog and I want to add some of my followers to the side of my blog. I know some of my followers might not have blogs of their own and once again i'm sorry if this is restricting to just blog owners. In order to enter you have to be following my blog on bloglovin and google friend connect, however you can also earn additional entries as well. The giveaway will end in a weeks time and I will contact the winners on the 9th or the 10th of September. Enjoy!

How to Destroy Your Bank Balance in 1 hour....

Hellooo, as you can probably tell from the title, I have been shopping. I have had my eye on all of these beauty products for ages and it just so happened that there were some pretty good deals on, so I had to pick them up.

I don't really want to go into too much detail about the products as I will review most of them later on and I don't want to bore you all, haha. So lets have a look at what I picked up...

I started off by heading to boots where I picked up some of the Maybelline Baby Lips. I had been looking for these for ages and it just happened that they had the three I wanted in stock and on a 3 for 2 offer. I picked up Peach Kiss, Pink Punch and Hydrate.

Peach Kiss, Pink Punch and Hydrate- £2.99 each

I also picked up a large Johnson's Baby Shampoo as I love to use it to deep clean my makeup brushes. It was such a bargain at £1 for a large bottle so I couldn't not pick one up as I am always using it. I also read a post recently that said how good it was for damaged hair so I am looking forward to seeing if it has the same effect on mine.
On offer- £1
I also picked up two of the Barry M gel nail polishes. I love these nail polishes as the finish they give is so good. I wasn't planning on buying any, as I have a huge amount of nail polish so definitely didn't need anymore but they were on offer so how could I not. I've had my eye on these two shades for ages and managed to pick them both up for £6, so how could I not get them.

Blueberry and Greenberry

Lastly, I stopped by the Bourjois stand and they were having a 3 for 2 offer so I had to pick up some of the products I have been dying to try. I have wanted the famous 'chocolate' bronzer and the cream blushers for ages. Everyone raves about these and I had just run out of my Maybelline bronzing powder so it seemed like a perfect time to make a purchase. I also picked up one of their new Colour Boost Lip Crayon in the shade Orange Punch. I had heard about these and I love the colour of this one. I am also going to be picking up the Peach on the Beach one as soon as it is back in stock.

Powder Delice de Poudre in shade 51

03- Rose tender

I Love Me Some Baby Lips

Arghhhhh so excited. I have a huge lip balm obsession so you can only imagine how excited I was when it was announced that the Maybelline Baby Lips were coming to the UK. After weeks of waiting the date of there release finally came and I rushed down to my local highstreet beauty stores only to find that they were not stocking them yet. I was so disappointed and I know you probably say there thinking why didn't she just order them online, well I wanted to see the exact colour choices before purchasing. So after a few more weeks of waiting and my constant trips to annoy the staff in my local Boots, I finally got my hands on some.

The packaging is extremely cute and make paying £2.99 for a lip balm reasonable. I love the brightness of the packaging and I think all the shade names are so cute. I picked up three of these little beauties as Maybelline were running a 3 for 2 offer, so how could I not. I picked up two of the tinted ones and one of the normal ones.

Peach Kiss, Pink Punch and Hydrate
The products themselves apply really nicely on to your lips and I found that they left my lips feeling super soft. Although the two tinted shades don't leave huge amounts of colour on your lips you are left with a subtle shimmer of colour. I have found that applying the plain one, I have the hydrate one, before I apply any other lip products really helps to not dry my lips out. The big plus about these is that they smell AMAZING.

Peach Kiss and Pink Punch

Overall I think these are great value for money and I really hope that Maybelline bring out more tinted shades which ideally have slightly more pigmentation.

Have you tried these yet?
Would you go for any of these shades?

My First Time....Trying Revlon Products

Helloooo, now I know you might have just read the title and thought how has this beauty blogger not ever tried a Revlon product before! I know, I know and it's not something I am proud of, haha. If you live in the UK then you will know that Superdrug is one of the main places to buy highstreet (drugstore) makeup and beauty products. I love Superdrug as they have always got some AMAZING deals on.

So I was wondering through Superdrug when a large 2 for £10 banner caught my eye above the Revlon stand. One of the beauty products that I have been dying to try for ages is the Revlon Lip Butters and so I couldn't not go over and pick one up. Included in the deal were all Revlon lip products, nail polishes and mascaras. I picked up the Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon and the Revlon Lash Potion Grow Mascara in Blackest Black.

This was such as an AMAZING deal as I picked up products worth £9.99 and £7.99 for only £10 and therefore saving £7.98. So I basically got the Lip Butter for free.

Now on to the products and I am so impressed with both of them. The mascara leaves my lashes looking really long and I hardly need many coats to get this effect which stops my lashes from ever looking clumpy. The packaging is so nice and I really like the wand. The Lip Butter is so good. I had read so many reviews and they deserve the hype they get because they really are a products I can not fault. The colour I picked up is a really nice subtle red and the colour lasts for ages. These glide on to your lips and leave them feeling really smooth. I will definitely be picking up a couple more shades whilst the deal is on.

I also wanted to put a quick note down here to say that Skincare Sunday will appear slightly later this week.

Have you tried any of these products?

July Favourites

So July has been such a good month, not only have my pay checks been a lot larger due to extra shifts but I also have spent loads of time with some of my favourite people. Regarding beauty and makeup favourites this month, there haven't been too many and I'm sure you will recognise some of them from post on my blog this month.

1- Gillette Satin Care Olay Sensitive Shave Gel: I have been really enjoying this all the way throughout the month. England has had such lovely summer weather this past month which has meant that all the summer dresses, shorts and skirts have come out of hiding. Although in girl world this means only one thing and that is to have supper soft shaven legs. This shaving gel leaves your kegs feeling super soft and although I sill use a moisturiser after, you probably wouldn't need to.

2- Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Daily Spa Escape Mandelular Sensuous Body Souffle: This is a really nice moisturiser, especially if you get really bad dry skin.  I use this on my legs twice a week and they always feel super soft for days after. It smells really nice and isn't too heavy of a moisturiser. I often find that some moisturisers can be really heavy and hard to work into the skin but that's not a problem with this one.

3- Barry M Nail Paint in Berry Ice Cream: This is my perfect summer pastel nail polish. I love Barry M nail paints, the formation is really good and they are such a bargain. I wrote a more detailed post on this nail paint which also included the other shades in the ice cream collection which you can see here

4- Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Celestial: These are so AMAZING! I'm sure pretty much everyone has heard of these but if not they have the colour of a lipstick and the shine of a lipgloss and they last for ages. What more could you want in a lip product? The shade I have is a gorgeous nude pink and leaves a really natural looking stain on my lips. I have worn this so much this month and am definitely going to be picking up more shades.

5- 17 Wild Metallics Cream Eyeshadow in Wild Nude: This is basically the same as the Maybelline colour tattoos apart from they are cheaper and I actually prefer the colour choices of the 17 ones over the Maybelline ones. Wild Nude leaves a nice natural nude shimmer across your eyelids and the staying power of them are really good. At £3.99 they are a bargain and a makeup bag must have. After trying this, I wouldn't ever buy a Maybelline colour tattoo over it.

6- Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: Earlier this month I devoted a whole post to my new Real Techniques brushes which you can read here. I'm not going to say much more then this is quite possibly the best makeup brush in the world!

So those are my favourite beauty products from the last month. July has been one of the best months of this year so I am sad to see it end. However I have lots of great things planned for august and i'm sure i'll find loads more beauty products I love.

Skincare Sunday #2

Hello, another Sunday which means it's time for Skincare Sunday! So lasts weeks topic was scrubs and the lovely Jessica, who writes the blog gingerlypale, was the first person to get involved with my new feature and I am really glad she did. Read below what Jessica's favourite scrub is and to read what mine was then click here

As a beauty blogger, I know just how important it is to cleanse your skin thoroughly in order to prevent any unwanted blemishes or spots from cropping up on your face!
One of my all-time favourite face scrubs has to be Soap and Glory’s ‘Scrub your nose in it’. I’ve been using this product for about six months, and I don’t think my skin could do without it now!

I love the tube-like design of the bottle which stops you from wasting any product, and also how the scrub itself smells very minty and looks very minty too- almost like a more girly toothpaste! Soap and Glory advise that you ‘apply a pea-sized dollop to a damp t-zone, massage in circular motions, then extend out to the less clogged places on your face and rinse well and follow with moisturiser.’ This scrub can also be used as a mask if you leave it on for three minutes longer- talk about convenience in a bottle!

The scrub itself is nicely coarse on your face, and you can definitely feel the grains scrubbing your face as you use it, which makes me feel as though it’s being properly cleaned. Since I’ve been using this scrub, I’ve definitely noticed that my skin has become a lot brighter and healthier looking, and I’ve seen less nasty blemishes as well, so I guess this does exactly what it says on the tin! I don’t use this everyday as I think it may be just a little too coarse for daily usage, but twice a week is absolutely perfect.

Although there are a lot of amazing scrubs out there, this one is perfect for me and has become a bit of a Holy Grail product! I picked it up for £7.50 which is definitely pricey compared to some brands, but considering you only need a pea-sized dollop each time you use it, mine has lasted forever. I would definitely recommend it as it has worked magic for me!

Firstly I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jessica for getting involved. I loved reading what her favourite scrub was and I am definitely going to pick it up next time I go shopping. Before I tell you what this week's topic is, I just wanted to tell how you can get involved. If you want to be the next Jessica, then send me a email to to show your interest, If you don't want to be the guest blogger for that specific topic but you would like to be involved then send me an email with your ideal topic and I may contact you to be the guest blogger in the future.

So.......drumroll please....the topic this week is masks. This can be anything from face masks that you peel off to masks that come in a tube. I think these are a really fun way to cleanse. As much as I love the masks that come in different colours and flavours my favourite mask at the moment is the Simple Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and it is perfect for my sensitive skin. It's such a bargain and using it twice a week has really improved my skins condition.

I hope you enjoyed Skincare Sunday #2 and let me know if you want to be involved  Even if you don't want to be the guest blogger but you have a favourite mask then let me know in the comments below! Don't forget you can follow on bloglovin, google friend connect and twitter :)

Work The Colour, What A Bargain!

Hello :) So I am writing this pretty late due to the fact I can't sleep because it's so frickin HOT! I like heat but heat on a night is not so good! I was reading back through my blog the other day and I can't believe it's been so long since I actually reviewed a makeup product, oops! I recently finally picked these two products up after months of build up, especially if you follow Collection on Twitter, as their has been a lot!

I love my eye palettes, my collections is always growing and I love to create different eye looks. However recently, due to lack of time, I have been neglecting to use them on a day to day basis. This for one is not good as my palettes haven't been getting any use but I have also noticed a huge difference the staying time of my gel eyeliner has without an eye shadow as a base, as it just hasn't been staying as long. Although I love me some shadows , it was time to find something quicker and easier to use on a day to day basis. When I saw these advertised they instantly reminded me of the Rimmel Scandleyes Sticks and I loved those so I thought i'd give these a try as they are slightly cheaper at £3.18.

However I was lucky enough to pick mine up on the Superdrug introductory offer and they were only £2.50 but I would definitely pay the full price for them. They are so easy and simple to apply and the two shades I picked, leave a nice shine across my lid without being to heavy. I picked up Vanilla Sky and Vintage Blush. Vanilla Sky is a really nice cream colour, which looks really good on it's own but I have actually been using it for under my brow bone and in the inner corner to highlight. Vintage Blush is a gorgeous pinky gold colour and I have been wearing this so much. These Eyeshadow pencils are so easy to work with as they blend really well. The staying time is quite good, though I did find that if I was wearing them for more then 6 hours they did start to rub off but they are so easy to apply that this didn't really bother me.

There are 6 shades that you can pick up and I am so impressed that I am going to pick up the other shades that I like the look of. They are such a handy thing to have in your makeup collection and they are such a bargain too.

Have you tried these new Eyeshadow Pencils?
If so what are your favourite shades?
